Young people taking action for conservation
This June, young people from churches in Auckland and Christchurch rolled up their sleeves to care for creation through the Good News Project 2026, part of World Vision's 40 Hour Challenge.
From planting native trees to learning about local ecosystems, the day was an opportunity to put faith into action and make a practical difference for nature and their communities. Alongside A Rocha leaders and local conservation volunteers, young people experienced first-hand how small acts of restoration can contribute to a healthier, more resilient environment.
The Good News Project is about more than conservation. It invites young people to discover that caring for creation is part of following Jesus – bringing hope to people and the planet through practical action.
