Want to help your church take practical action for creation, but not sure where to begin?

The Eco Action Toolkits are flexible, practical resources designed to help churches explore some of the everyday choices that shape our impact on the world around us – and consider what they have to do with following Jesus.

Explore Waste, Food, Energy and Transport through Scripture and theology, learning and discussion, practical action, prayer and reflection.

Whether you have 45 minutes, a whole workshop, a church service or several weeks to explore a topic, you can pick and choose from the resources to create something that works for your people and context.

How the toolkits work?

Each Eco Action Toolkit is made up of four modules:

Pilot the Eco Action Toolkits this Season of Creation

This Season of Creation (1 September–4 October), we're inviting churches and groups around Aotearoa to help us pilot the Eco Action Toolkits.

Choose a toolkit and try it with your church, home group, youth group, leadership team or another group in your community. You might use a single activity, create a session, or explore a topic over several weeks.

In return, we'd love to hear how it went. We'll ask pilot groups to provide some simple feedback, including what you used, approximately how many people took part, what worked well, what could be improved, and what action or next steps came out of the experience.

We'd also love to hear the stories that emerge – and, with your permission, share some of them to encourage and inspire other churches.

Your experience will help us refine the resources and understand how the toolkits are helping churches connect faith, learning and practical action.
